Workplace Assessments
If you employ a person with a disability, there needs to be regular reviews of their work station, to ensure their condition is fully supported. Also, if a member of staff has an accident, operation or change to their health for some other reason, an assessment needs to be undertaken, to make sure that the individual is helped, where possible, to remain in work.We are able to carry out such reviews and make recommendations regarding products and offer practical support.I-recruitmentIt is not possible to refuse to employ someone solely on the grounds of their disability, under the DDA. If you are to employ a person with a disability, why not use the time between selection and the individual taking up the position to ensure their needs are going to be fully supported before they start work.We can help with this and also offer advice on the recruitment and selection process. We run courses on i-recruitment regarding disability issues, and we can also help with "pre-work" assessments.
