We can now confirm that Ultracane (Sound Foresight) went into administration on 02/07/08.
We have been working with the manufacturers of the K Sonar to try and help any Ultracane users and on sellers who are now having difficulties.
The K Sonar is now available with a trade in discount of £125.00 for those
Ultracane users who wish to swap over.
The Ultracanes collected will be kept to be used as spare parts for those who are continuing to use this product as we are aware that it may not be possible for all users to change over to the K Sonar at present.
We have been given details of an Ultracane engineer by the liquidator and we have agreed with them that we can offer a repair service.
We will have to make a charge for repairs, however we are working with the engineers to ensure that this is kept to a minimum. There will also be a nominal administration charge of £25.00 for swapping a broken Ultracane for a “new to you” Ultracane.
Should you be aware of an Ultracane purchaser who has not yet received their new cane and has already made a payment, please advise them to contact the liquidators:

All warranties are now void.
Any canes returned for repair should now have been returned to owners but if you have not received yours back please contact the liquidators.
Those who have finance agreements must continue to pay them but if they
are having any problems must contact the finance company.

We have been informed by the Liquidator on 29/07/08 that an agreement has been made, in principle, for a new company to buy the Ultracane. No further details of this company are to be released until the sale has been confirmed.
We will provide a further update if and when the sale goes ahead.
