About Us
About Us
DD Aware is a company that employs mainly people with disability, with the purpose of helping others with disability. We have a network for people across the region who can demonstrate products or to chat about their and your experiences. Our team have experienced health issues or disabilities that have affected their, our, working lives.
We have been described by The Shaw Trust as ethical, because of our focus on helping customers. We work with Access to Work to provide equipment to assist people to remain in employment. They have agreed that the K-Sonar is a mobility aid and as such is helpful in maintaining a person in employment.
We also work with organisations for the visually impaired across the UK and mainland Europe to advertise and promote our services, but more importantly, to find out what you, our customers, want or need, like or dislike.
We also have an e-mail based user forum for people who use the K-Sonar, please contact the Team for more information.
We provide a range of products and services and we work with many different companies to offer you independent and impartial advice about what products are available; what will suit your needs and an equally important consideration, what will suit your pocket.
None of us know when we are going to need some extra help with using our PC, or even reading documents – we can help. Did you know that there are 20,000 people in the UK develop serious sight problems each year, 96% of them leave their jobs!
We can also provide you with information about a number of condition specific organisations.
Our registered office is 70, Ashley Drive, Swinton, Manchester, M27-0AX. We can be contacted via telephone or fax on 0161-281-3380, or on the mobile 07798-842207.
