Home loop and listening systems
Conversor Listening System
Portable use anywhere, user friendly, for individuals or large groups, available in users for education or tour guide use.
The conversor is a miniature radio-microphone system for use with your existing hearing aid, and requires no direct connection to the hearing aid.
Hearing aids compensate for the lowering of sound level by amplifying sound. However, most hearing aids are unable to replicate Aural Focus due to the way they pick up and amplify all of the sounds from around the wearer.
The conversor addresses this problem by making use of the best features of your hearing aid at the same time as eliminating the undesirable ones. This allows you to focus your hearing aid on desired sounds, near or far.
There are 2 parts to the Conversor:
This is a small radio microphone that can be held in your hand or placed on a suitable surface. This transmits the sound to the receiver.
The pendent receiver sends the sound to the hearing aid. This “pendent receiver” is connected to an inductive loop that you wear round your neck that can easily be worn under clothing.
How does it work?
By setting your hearing aid to “T”, its microphone is switched off and the Conversor microphone takes over. This superior microphone can be used in a number of ways to improve your ability to hear:
- The uni-directional setting gives the microphone a very precise and narrow focus allowing the user to select a particular sound source from a number of different sounds.
- The omni-directional setting allows you to focus on sounds from all round, but at close proximity, and is useful in “round table” situations, such as family dinners or business meetings.

Lisa personal pager pack
What does the system do?
Quite simply, it is an all in one paging system comprised of some of our most popular parts. Other kits are available – please contact the team for further details.
How does the Pager system work?
You have one vibrating pager receiver, which you will carry with you. The Combi II transmitter can be attached to an existing doorbell system via an acoustic sensor, and to a BT style telephone socket, which when triggered will send a signal via radio waves to the vibrating pager this in turn will alert you via vibration and lights as to which device was activated.
If you choose this system you will receive:
Vibrating pager receiver (230-570), vibrating pad (230-315), combi II transmitter (230-541).
This is only one example of a wide range of assistive hearing pager packs we have – please contact the team for more information.
InfraLight Headset System
The InfraLight Listener is used to help you listen more clearly to your TV, radio etc. without any trailing leads across the floor. It allows you to enjoy your TV etc at your own volume without disturbing others.
The InfraLight Headset Listener consists of 2 parts, a mains powered transmitter and a receiver powered by a chargeable battery. The transmitter picks up the sound from the TV and sends it to the headset receiver via an invisible infra red beam. As this system transmits via infra red the receiver must always be in the “line of sight” of the transmitter i.e. in the same way a remote control works with your TV. For this reason the transmitter is best placed either on top of or underneath the TV.
What you get:
The infra red transmitter base with mains lead and built in headset batter charger, which can be set to mono or stereo with a spare battery for the headset (230-118). The infra red headset receiver has an automatic on/off switch and rotary volume control and an in-built rechargeable battery (230-112).
Direct connection leads are provided to connect to TV scart, audio phono or 3.5mm headphone socket (353-095). 1 x microphone with 4m lead and velco pads is provided for listening to sounds where no connection is available (330-001). Operating instructions.
Other versions are available – please contact the team for more details.

The CM-1 system can be used by people who wear hearing aids and non hearing aid wearers alike.
Simple and easy to use, continuously variable volume control, high/low tone control, multi-directional microphone, intelligent digital sound processing (DSP), automatic gain control (AGC).

Microphone transmitter, receiver unit, rechargeable batteries, neckloop, (headphones are an optional extra), cables (for connection to TV, radio etc), 2 x charging stations and a sturdy carrying case.

StarSound 600 (infrared) and Easy Listener (FM) Wireless Listening System
These 2 systems consist of equipment for medium or large areas; they have transmitters and receivers with neckloops or headphones. Such is the design of these systems you can build them to suit your needs and size of audience. Systems consist of transmitter and base station (in the case of infrared systems sometimes repeater stations) with as many receivers as required and charger system. Other accessories are available to give the option of using neck loops, earphones or headphones.
Depending on how the system is being used, this requirement could change as we are happy to advise you on this. The major difference between the two products is that the infrared system needs a clear area without obstructions, however with extra transmitter panels this can be improved, and especially suited to situations where you do not want sound to travel outside the room. With the FM system you can use multi-channel (maximum 22) to suit your requirements, sound will be carried over an area of about 300m. Please contact the team for more information about these products.

Vivid sound shuttle portable loop system
Sound shuttle helps hearing aid users to hear more clearly by directing speech and reducing annoying background noise. It takes the frustration out of day-to-day conversion for people with hearing difficulties and effectively improves communication.
The Facts
8.5million people in the UK have hearing difficulties. Approximately 24,000 of these are under the age of 16. Modern hearing aids incorporate a “T” position specially for use with induction loop systems. The Disability Discrimination Act 1995, requires all businesses to make reasonable provision to help their staff and customers who have disabilities.
How does Soundshuttle work?
With a hearing aid switched to the “T” position, the microphone in Soundshuttle picks up the speaker’s vice which is converted into a magnetic field. This field is received by the hearing aid allowing the user to hear more clearly, making the whole experience of communication more pleasurable.
Privacy: concerns about other hearing aid users listening to private conversations are eliminated because of the precise range of Soundshuttle.
